Kirsty was born and raised in Northern Ontario and is a proud member of Marten Falls First Nation.

Kirsty creates artwork that honours and reflects the deep connections between nature and her Ojibway identity. Her practice is grounded in the belief that a connection to the land is inseparable from a connection to family. Kirsty aims to capture both the spirit and the wonder of the natural world in her work.

Kirsty works primarily in acrylic. She embraces repurposing wooden objects, and natural woods when possible.
